Las Vegas Condos: Never AgainLas Vegas Condos: Never Again by Chuck and Sue DeFiore This was an individual we had spoken to and sent information to several months earlier, that if the sale process didn't work to give us a call. (Remember, always follow-up). She called and we went to look at the condo and have her sign the paperwork. It was a 1400 square foot, 3 bd. 2-1/2 ba, split, small backyard, community pool and spa. Only 3 years old. Very nice layout. She was leaving all the appliances. We placed our ad, flyers and signs in the area. The end of the first week, we got a call from a women who wanted to see it, and she loved it. She gave us a substantial deposit. Her credit checked out. We called the owner and told her we had someone. The owner was thrilled. We called the tenant/buyer Monday of the following week to set up a time to finish the paperwork. She wasn't there, so we spoke with her husband. Well to make a long story short, we never heard from her again. We spoke with the husband, apparently, the son was hurt at school and she went out of town to be with him. Only in Las Vegas does this happen. However, with our Finance Summary form that indicates deposits are non-refundable for any reason other than rejection of the application we were covered. At this point, we continued with our marketing of the property. The owner was impatient, and upset that the tenant/buyer flaked out (a common occurrence in Las Vegas). The owner just wanted to rent it. We told her fine. Since our expenses were already reimbursed with the deposit money, we walked away. This was the last condo we ever did, or will do in the Las Vegas area. Copyright DeFiore Enterprises 2000 This article courtesy of http://bestcondo4you.info.
